About
An immaculate top-class championship course ranked amongst the best in Asia
Located in the southeast of Phnom Penh, around 40 minutes from downtown, the East Course is one of two top-class 18-hole championship golf course from designer Nick Faldo at Vattanac Golf Resort. Winner of the accolade of Cambodia's Best Golf Course at the 2020 World Golf Awards, it's an impeccably conditioned paspalum-grassed course that should form part of any golf itinerary in Phnom Penh.
The course is set on flattish terrain that has been enlivened with extensive landscaping and mounding. Large, beautifully-sculpted bunkers and no shortage of water hazards make this a compelling yet hugely enjoyable challenge for even the best of golfers.
One interesting feature of the golf course is the scale models of pre-Angkorean structures, including Preah Vihear Temple, Bayon Temple, and Angkor Wat. In lesser hands, this might have ended up as a cheap novelty but instead they add a unique aura to the golf course, which is a joy to play.
GPS equipped golf carts come as standard, and the personable and well-trained caddies are there to provide much needed assistance as you navigate this challenging course.
Away from the course itself, there is a golf academy that includes a massive 28-bay floodlit driving range powered by Eagle Try technology, with lessons from the onsite pro available for those looking to tune up their swing. The main clubhouse, still under contruction, will be one of the largest in Cambodia when completed, so locker rooms at the golf academy are currently being used. You'll also fund a well-stocked pro shop and dining area.

Great golf course
The golf course was fantastic. Unfortunately August is too hot so by the time we got to the back nine we were cooked. To make matters worse tried to cool down with a shower in the locker room but the shower settings were hot or pipping hot.Immaculately-conditioned course, not a blade of grass out of place
This was genuinely one of the best-maintained courses I've ever played on, near flawless. The course itself is generally flat, but some mounding here and there keeps it interesting. While there aren't any truly memorable holes, the course is nonetheless excellent, and you should be able to score pretty well. The GPS carts were excellent, and the caddies friendly and helpful. The main clubhouse is still under construction but the locker rooms at the golf academy were of a high standard, so it wasn't really an issue. Superb driving range too.Fabulous course
Well designed golf course by Nick Faldo with some replicas of Angkor Wat integrated into the background. Buggy and caddy charge at USD50 per golfer was expensive in the ASEAN regionCourse Info
